First Impressions With Clients
In this industry, relationships are everything. A client is trusting you with their campaigns, artists and brand. Here is how we build real trust.
First Impressions With Clients
What makes a good first impression with a client?
Probably not swearing at them on the first call.
Probably not insulting their company.
Definitely not roasting their colleagues.
Luckily… I have done none of the above.
But in this industry, relationships are everything.
A client is trusting you with their campaigns, their artists and their brand. They need to trust you as an agency, but more importantly, trust you as a person.
The biggest mistake you can make?
Trying to fake it.
Don’t pretend you’re a tequila expert if you’ve never touched a drink. This isn’t the time to lie on your CV. You don’t want your first client dinner ending with you Googling “how to politely leave a shot challenge.”
Just be yourself.
Bring your personality. Bring your experience. Bring the receipts.
“Clears throat.”
“Hi, I’m Eji.
Really love the work you’ve been doing. We recently helped build the campaign around Dave’s tour, turning it into a global fan moment, generating 144M+ views and reaching millions of people along the way.
*And yes, I will casually mention the 144M views within the first five minutes… because if you don’t mention your wins, did they even happen?
