Going International (AKA: Glasgow)

Going International (AKA: Glasgow)

Glasgow, oh Glasgow… you’ve left a lasting impression.

A disagreement with local Glaswegian lads, security debates, and EasyJet flights booked in seconds: our wild tour trip to Glasgow.

Going International (AKA: Glasgow)

So we ended up in Glasgow.

And honestly, I could probably end the story there.

Glasgow, oh Glasgow… you’ve left a lasting impression.

Before arriving, I think I had this weird expectation that everyone would just be a variation of Lewis Capaldi. Friendly, charming, probably ready to tell you a funny story over a pint.
I was wrong.
Very wrong.

A few things that may or may not have happened whilst we were there:

  • A disagreement between our creator and a group of very passionate Glaswegian lads, to the point where security was genuinely debating which one of us needed to leave the arena.
  • The creator deciding they were done with Glasgow and threatening to fly home mid-tour.
  • EasyJet flights being booked within seconds.
  • A few emotional phone calls to the boss, questioning how everything had gone so sideways.

Creator work is honestly like spinning a coin.

You can spend weeks planning. Vetting. Preparing. Thinking you’ve covered every possible scenario.

But that’s the reality.

Creators are people. Audiences are people. Everyone has good days, bad days, and moments where things get a little too much.

Who knew the biggest challenge of taking international campaigns to the next level would be a group of Glaswegians?
